Tank you very much
The other night, I was invited to fill in for a missing tank in a 10 man group for Icecrown. I would normally be pugging and hoping to clear the first quarter, and these are my friends so I agree. I’m nervous because I haven’t given my tanking gear much love and my health pool is pretty gimp. The plan was to head right to Blood Queen Lana’thel, who is new to everyone there – and then backtrack for Festergut, Rotface, and attempt Professor Putricide. Despite having to fill in their regular tank with an offspec tank, things went fairly smoothly. After a couple of attempts on Lana’thel everyone got the strategy and she was down. Hooray for a first-kill. We had one-shots of Festergut and Rotface and then played with Professor Puke for a bit. We were getting sloppy toward the end and called it. I haven’t done any raid tanking in a long time so I enjoyed the chance to test the waters again in more than the required random. Because the new Idol of the Crying Moon is much more desirable to bears than kitties, for the duration of the raid I used some emblems I was saving up and tested it out. I really love this little trinket and although I sold it back, I do hope to buy one soon. I could see swapping Mutilation in for AoE’ness, for single-target it is very easy to keep up the buff, however, and a big boost from either Idol of Mutilation of Idol of the Corruptor. Having Tier 10, I enjoyed my new mini-cooldown on Enrage.
