I feel an urge to discuss this Idol in particular. It is, on paper, considered now the best-in-slot (BiS) Idol in the game for both cat and bear druids. Except that the stacking mechanism is, quite seriously, terrible. There will be many fights where the uptime will be very hindered. I have to remember to swap back my old Idol every time I run a heroic. There are many ICC fights where your buff will fall off, too. If you are a Bear, get this Idol and be prepared to swap. It is most certainly a big up when you can keep your stacks from falling off. However, if you are a kitty, I’d say take your time. The difference between Mutilation is quite small and you will find a surprising number of encounters where it’s not worth using.
